it’s nearly the end of april
rain keeps calling: dig deep,
go within, and rediscover
that serpent coiled and sleeping
too soundly, a knot
at the base of my spine.
it’s got me on a kick
painting in binary code
blasting tori, screaming
all off key and laughing
